Don Jackson 1/15/2008
On January the 15th of 2008 God sent His angels to bring his son Donald D. Jackson home to be with Him in Paradise. Don was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. While in the Air Force he was well known and much sought after for his amazing portrait painting ability, these portraits span the world from the United States to Vietnam. He presently held the position of Executive Director of the Professional Towing and Recovery Association of Arkansas (PTRAA). Don was preceded in death by his father Curtis Jackson and older brother Jerry Jackson both of El Dorado, Arkansas.

He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Janie Jackson, his son, Byron Jackson and wife Debra, his daughter, Jennifer Woodward and husband Tommy all of Jacksonville, Arkansas. The love of Don’s heart was his five grandchildren, Tyler Woodward, Jarret Jackson, Kaitlyn Woodward, Cody Jackson and Logan Woodward. Don’s family continues with his mother, Edna Ashmore of Wichita, Kansas, his oldest brother, Dean Jackson of Fountain Inn, South Carolina and his twin brother, Ronald Jackson of Wichita, Kansas.

Funeral Services will be held at First Baptist Church in Jacksonville on Saturday, January 19, 2008 at 2 p.m. with Greg Kirksey officiating. Visitation with the family will be Friday from 6 until 8 p.m. at Moore’s Funeral Home at 1504 J. P. Wright Loop Road in Jacksonville.

The family requests that any tow truck drivers that can bring their tow truck to the funeral service at the church on Saturday please do so to honor Don.

The officers and Board members of PTRAA, his friends and coworkers would like to extend their heartfelt condolences to Don's family during this time of loss.
